The ORGANIZED Work-At-Home Mom 3-Week Challenge ~Day 4

Welcome back to The ORGANIZED Work-At-Home Mom Challenge!  You can find the beginning of this challenge *here*.

For Day #4, we’ll be focusing on our role as a Wife.  Since it’s one of the most important relationships in our life, it can help to stand back and look at how we’re doing every once in a while.  Are we doing everything we can to keep this relationship healthy?  Where can we improve?  Ask your husband, if you have the courage.

Want to be better about scheduling that date night on a regular basis (read about some budget ideas *here*)?  What about trying harder to do that thing your husband always has to remind you to do?  Have you been praying for him each morning?  Does he look forward to coming home to his best friend after work each day?  Or have you become a grumpy, frumpy person who’s too busy nowadays to afford him any special attention?

Oh, gosh…  Self-reflection can be hard, right?  But sometimes the only way to improve is by facing our weaknesses and ugly habits square-in-the-face.  As much as we like to think of ourselves as the always-innocent party (with our spouse being the one to make all the relational mistakes) there is probably plenty to improve on our end.

Here are a few things I need to work on:

  • Pray for Him Daily
  • Keep up with my hair and makeup (and leg-shaving too!)
  • Make Physical Intimacy a Priority (‘Cause he’s a guy and it means a lot)
  • Be Willing to Look Up from the Laptop and Listen 100% when He’s Talking (Because I have this nasty habit of typing and half-listening and it’s rude)
  • Have a Better Attitude About Helping Out with the Dogs

Tomorrow we’ll be tacking some Mom-specifics for better managing the beloved little ones in our lives.  Don’t forget to join us over on Day #5!

Another great one! I certainly need to be off the computer more, when he is home. I have shown the same rudeness you mentioned. :/
