(Please read some rule clarification at the bottom of this post! Thanks!)
Put on some music, grab a rag and spray bottle of your favorite furniture polish and wipe down all those flat, dust-catching surfaces. Don’t forget the picture frames and lamps, your coffee table and nightstands! This is a great task to get your little ones involved in, especially if you’re using a non-toxic polish (like my recipe below). Give them a rag and have them follow along behind you.
My favorite furniture polish recipe:
1 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
Just mix them together in a spare spray bottle and watch those wood surfaces shine! Be sure and comment below when you finish! I will be posting before and after pictures of each task on my facebook page. I’d be thrilled if you’d join me.
Extra Credit ideas for the Super-Motivated:
Since you already have that rag in hand, dust off the extra-dusty forgotten surfaces, like the top of your fridge, top of the door frames, or (if you’re brave enough) that dust-prone utility room.

I’ve been thrilled by the response to this challenge so far! You all are doing great and are so motivating for me! Just one little request…
It’s perfectly fine to do tasks early or late as needed (provided they all happen before the end of the month), but please be sure that you comment on that task’s specific post or it will not be counted. When I assemble check-list style of who’s done what, it makes my paperwork much less complicated if I don’t have to collect information from a gazillion posts at once.
So, if you’re catching up (or being super productive), don’t comment on Day 6 that you did Days 1-6 and went ahead and did Day 12 and Day 19 too. Instead, please comment “Done!” on each individual post and remember to do so on any future posts. It makes my job so much easier!
Also, you are welcome to comment on Saturday/Sunday posts but are not required to.
That’s all! Continue being awesome!
